Getting here wasn’t a straight path. I never imagined myself in massage, but my first treatment felt like my noisy, racing mind finally took a deep breath and hit pause.
That rare moment of calm showed me the power of slowing down and listening to what our bodies need, and from then on, I knew I wanted to share that peace and healing with others.
I work intuitively, listening closely to your body’s cues to create a treatment that feels grounding, supportive, and restorative. Whether you’re here to soften tension, reconnect, or simply rest, this is your time to receive, let go, and come home to yourself.

What you need most is a space to pause, breathe, and truly let go. This is a sanctuary for those who’ve ever felt out of place in glossy spa environments, where every kind of body and every kind of story is welcomed, honoured, and cared for.
You long for massage to feel more relaxed and real, more like popping round to a friend’s for a cuppa. Think of it as a space where you can just be yourself, with no pressure and no judgment, and leave feeling grounded, nurtured, and deeply restored.

Selkie is a female-focused wellness space, with treatments designed specifically to support women’s health, cycles, and overall wellbeing. Men are welcome only by referral from an existing client, friend, or family member.
Holistic Bodywork
A personalised massage designed to support your physical, emotional, and overall wellbeing. Each session can include deep tissue massage to ease muscular tension, Swedish massage to promote deep relaxation, and aromatherapy to calm the mind, all tailored to what your body needs most on the day.

Community Care sessions
A 60-minute holistic treatment offered as part of Selkie’s Community Care spaces, created to offer a more accessible option for women who may not currently be in a position to access full-price treatments, but would really benefit from this kind of care and support.
Each session is held with the same time, presence, and attention as all Selkie treatments. Spaces are released monthly within a short booking window, and payment is taken on the day.

Sound, stillness and gathering
A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience where you lie comfortably, fully clothed, while being immersed in soothing sounds and vibrations. Many people describe feeling deeply relaxed, grounded, emotionally lighter, or as though they have had a much-needed reset afterwards.
No previous experience with meditation, mindfulness, yoga, or sound baths is required.
Community sound baths
1 hr, 30 mins ~ £18.00
A small, intimate gathering with only 6 spaces available per session, keeping the space intentionally held, calm, and personal. The sound journey itself lasts approximately 60 minutes.

Gather your favourite people and take an hour completely out of the outside world, with singing bowls, guided meditation, cosy mats and blankets, and an oracle card each. Available on selected evenings and Saturdays: drop me a message and we’ll find a date.

A completely private experience, tucked up on the treatment bed with a heated eye mask and cosy blankets while the bowls and other instruments do the work. Herbal tea and an oracle card pull to finish.

Creative, community focused evenings with herbal teas and good company, often alongside local makers and practitioners: scent and sound with Kirsty from Sage & Bellflower, tarot and sound with Tessa from Fabled Moon Mystic, incense making with Carrie May from Knot Therapy, candlelit new moon sound baths, and a woodland sound bath at Sycamore & Stars Off-Grid Retreat in Grasby.
Spaces are limited and booking is essential. Event spaces are non-refundable but can be gifted.

Planning a retreat, birthday, hen party, Zen Do, wellbeing day or something a little different? I offer bespoke massage, energy healing and sound experiences for private events and groups, creating something that fits your people, your plans and your space.
I can bring soothing massage and Indian Head Massage, Reiki, energy healing, scalp and face rituals and grounding foot treatments to your event. Private sound experiences are available for groups of up to 5 people at Selkie, while larger group and event bookings can be arranged at external venues.

I had the most amazing treatment at Selkie ✨ From the moment I walked in, Abbi had such an amazing, calming energy. She was so welcoming, warm and professional, and immediately made me feel completely at ease. What a find! Whilst staying at a local caravan site I found Abi on Google and booked a 90min holistic massage to help me unwind from work and life. Her treatment room is so welcoming, grounding and soothing, just being in that space is a treat never mind the massage! But the massage was equally as soothing and grounding and I’ve been floating along ever since 🥰 Abi is clearly very passionate about what she does, she takes the time to listen and create individually tailored treatments for each client and I felt completely spoilt with heated eye mask, mini facial, head massage, full body massage and all the feel good vibes that come from such a beautiful experience. I may not live locally but I will definitely be back again!

Abbi is amazing! Had the crown reset this time round and hot stone before. Only second appointment but she makes you feel at complete ease. I felt like I was walking on air afterwards. This sound bath was wonderful. Abbi created the best space set up, and with the night's drawing in, it felt like being wrapped in Autumn. I love attending events at Selkie. It's a unique space, that feels welcoming as soon as you step through the door. Whether it's an individual or group event, I come away feeling reenergised and thankful.
Absolutely loved my evening, didn’t know what to expect but Abby was lovely. She explained everything so well, made you feel so welcome and the session was so relaxing. The cake and tea was lovely and I loved so much that she didn’t rush you after the session was over and stayed and chatted with us. If you’re thinking about booking defo do it!!

Which treatment is right for me?
Each session is tailored to you. If you’re unsure, just ask. I can recommend based on what your body and mind need most.
I’ve never had a massage or holistic treatment before. What can I expect?
Don’t worry, I’ll guide you through every step. I’ll check in about any health concerns, explain the treatment, and make sure you feel comfortable and supported throughout.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Anything comfy, cosy and that you don’t mind getting a little oil on. I’ll guide you on what to remove or keep on. Your comfort comes first.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, appointments fill quickly so booking ahead is best.
Can I have a treatment if I’m pregnant?
Yes, I offer treatments that are safe for pregnancy (after the first trimester). Please mention this when booking so I can tailor your session.
What if I have a medical condition?
Some conditions mean certain treatments aren’t suitable, or may need GP consent. Please share any medical info when booking so I can make sure your treatment is safe and supportive.
What oils and products do you use?
I use high-quality, natural oils and can adapt for allergies or sensitivities.
Do you treat male clients?
Selkie is a space created with women at its heart, so I’m not currently taking on male clients. Occasionally, I may welcome a male client through referral only, usually from an existing client or trusted practitioner, to help keep the space feeling safe, intentional, and aligned with its purpose.
What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay by card, cash or bank transfer.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 72 hours’ notice or you will be charged in full. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged.
Finding the treatment room

Inside the Kings Office Suites: head through the grey metal gates and walk down the passageway. Keep going until you reach the back of the building where you’ll see a large grey door and a Selkie sign. That’s me!
There isn’t any parking on site, but there are multiple car parks a short walk away offering free parking for 2 hours. I recommend either John Street car park or the festival hall.
There are 3 steps up into the treatment room and stairs internally down to the toilets. Once inside, the treatment bed is fully accessible and electric, and all treatments can be adapted to suit your needs.
